Hand Therapy

Our hand therapy services are provided by an experienced, skilled, Certified Occupational Therapist. Our therapist works one-on-one with patients using compassion, creativity, and advanced therapy techniques, in a comfortable environment, to help patients achieve their goals and restore function. Individually designed therapy programs are carefully developed for patients with injuries and/or medical conditions related to the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and digits.

Jean Puissegur Thomass, LOTR, CHT, CHWC

Jean Puissegur Thomas,LOTR, CHT, CHWC

Jean graduated from Louisiana State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and has over 35 years of experience in Upper Extremity and Hand Rehabilitation. She received her National Certification as a Certified Hand Therapist in 1991. She has extensive experience working in various outpatient clinical settings including working closely with several local Board Certified Hand Surgeons in the region. She is a longstanding active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Jean also received her certification as a Health and Wellness coach in April 2019 through the school of Wellcoaches in partnership with the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Jean has been married to her husband Mark for 30 years and they have one daughter named Elise. Mark is an internationally certified Biomedical Electronic Technician and works for a medical manufacturer. Jean loves spending her free time with her family and volunteering at the Tulane Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine. She enjoys cooking and gardening.

Denise Gravois

Denise Gravois,LOTR, CHT

Denise graduated from Louisiana State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Denise has specialized in the treatment of upper extremity pathologies and injuries since 1992 when she completed all the necessary requirements to become a Certified Hand Therapist. She has worked exclusively with Board Certified Hand Surgeons for the past 30 years. Outside of work, Denise enjoys spending time with family, which includes her husband, 3 children, their spouses and a growing number of grandchildren, traveling and playing golf.
